Rob Lowe to Star as Casey Anthony Prosecutor in Lifetime Movie

Parks & Recreation star Rob Lowe will portray a lawyer in the upcoming TV movie about last summer's Casey Anthony trial, according to reports.

Lowe, who previously played Drew Peterson in the Lifetime original film Drew Peterson: Untouchable has been cast as prosecutor Jeff Ashton.

The movie, tentatively titled Prosecuting Casey Anthony, will be based on Ashton's book about the case, Improper Justice: Prosecuting Casey Anthony.

In a case that captivated the country, Anthony, 26, was charged with and later acquitted of murdering her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee in 2008.

The not guilty verdict set off a firestorm of criticism (and head-scratching, or just plain outrage) across the U.S. Anthony has been in hiding since.

She hasn't won over many since last summer. In fact, the family that hid her after the verdict recently left this scathing voicemail for Casey Anthony.

"We're thrilled to have Rob returning to our network, after his amazing star turn as Drew Peterson," Lifetime executive V.P. Rob Sharenow said.

"He's one of those rare stars who can do it all: comedy, drama, heroes, villains."

Spotify iPad app hands-on

It's here. After all the rumors, leaks and false alarms, Sweden's top music streaming service is finally ready for the big(ger) screen. Spotify has landed on the iPad, and not surprisingly, the new app is a no-brainer of a download for anyone currently in possession of a premium account and an Apple tablet, -- that much we can say right off the bat. Late-night poll: Dual-core or quad-core?

Android Central

With all the talk of quad-core vs dual-core, and seeing the performance of both in the same phone, we want to know.  Do you want a dual-core or quad-core chip in your next device?  Last year around this time we were starting to see dual-core phones emerge from manufacturers.  They all promised the best performance in a mobile device you've ever seen.  And they were right.  The Tegra 2, and later the OMAP 4 and Exynos were all strong performers.  Then came quad-core.  The same promises were made.  And again, they proved to be true.  Tegra 3 (otherwise known as Kal-El) put last years dual-core chips to shame.

Now we have Qualcomm firing back with a dual-core chip, the S4.  They are making the same promises.  Better performance, better battery life.  As we saw in Phil's review (gotta love the header!) of the One X they are mostly right.  Some people still have a soft spot for more cores, though, and performance is the same.  So what say you, dear reader? Tell us in tonight's poll!
