Many of you might have read my other post about a possible connection between IVF and leukemia children.I happen to have another question and I need your help to clear this issue ,too.My son started having migraines 3 months before his initial diagnosis with pre-B common ALL.All through his chemo treatments he also had migraines pretty often but we tended to think that this was a side effect of the drugs he was taking at the time, namely Endoxan(cyclophosphamide)? and Methotrexate? (MTX).After the discontinuation of the drugs he kept having migraines once a month or so ,and this was a sign for me that something was still terribly wrong with him. That and the fact that his platelet counts were quite low, average 150.000 ,even without chemo.Anyway ,the last month before his relapsing the migraines became frequenter, namely 2-3 times a week, untill he was finally diagnosed with relapse.I should probably mention that he never had CNS involvement and cranial radiation. We also had an MRI of the brain that showed no signs of leukemic cells in his brain. My question is:Did your children have migraines or frequent headaches before their diagnosis with leukemia? Is there a connection there?
